IXL Math Practice

Hi 6th Graders,

I'm super excited for us to have IXL at Neely! This is a great program where you can practice math at all different levels. I get to track your progress and watch you succeed as you move through the lessons! Maybe we could even think of fun rewards for students who spend time working on IXL!

Come see us at the Technology Expo TONIGHT!

Hi 6th graders and 6th grade families,

You are invited to come see some members from Ms. Carlyle's class and representatives from ALL the schools in the Kent School District demonstrate how they are using technology in the classroom! Our booth will focus on using the website KidBlog to improve student learning, especially in English Language Arts. The event goes from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and admission is FREE! Online Tool: Comic Creator

Hi 6th Graders,

Today we are going to use a new online tool called Comic Creator. This tool will help us show our thinking using pictures. We will use Comic Creator in our reading and writing, but today, let's try something just for fun!

Your Job:

Create a comic with at least 3 panels.

It can be about anything you'd like.

Explore all the tools in comic creator.

Print your finished comic to the 300Bay Printer (I'll show you how!)
